Overview

Cloakasium is a modern secure password manager that works with iPhone®, iPad®, Apple Watch®, and Mac®.

Cloakasium protects and manages all your password data securely using modern strong encryption algorithms (AES-256). With Cloakasium, you only need to remember the main app login password instead of trying to remember everything! You can use Touch ID® or Face ID® for app login, if it is available and enabled on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Cloakasium can create custom strong passwords with various options.

Cloakasium will synchronize all your password data securely across your Apple® devices. You can save encrypted backup files of the database either on your device or to iCloud®. You can restore the database from a backup file. Instead of entering all your data manually, Cloakasium can import CSV format data files from other password managers: 1Password, BitWarden, LastPass, Keeper, or DataVault. Cloakasium can export its database contents to an unencrypted CSV file. Cloakasium supports a second password that may be useful for a trusted person to access Cloakasium in the case of a forgotten primary password or in the event of an emergency.

Getting Started

Data within the app is organized as items within two folder levels: groups and categories. Items contain the detailed information such as user names, passwords, and account numbers in its records and notes. Any number of items can be added to each category. Any number of records can be added to each item. Specific entries can found quickly by expanding groups and categories or by searching. Groups, categories, and items are sorted alphabetically.

To help provide security when using Cloakasium in a public area, data masking can be enabled to hide all your password data from view.

Add a new group or category during creating or editting an item. In addition, a new Manage List view can be used to create, edit, delete, move and manage groups, categories, and items. A new category must be placed in an existing group. A new item must be placed into an existing category.

Selecting an item will show item details, including assigned group and category, records (both labels and valuew), and notes. For a selected item, its notes and each record can be copied or masked from view. While in edit mode, rows of records can be modified or re-ordered with a tap and a long press to select. Any changes must be either cancelled or saved prior to selecting a different item.

When conducting a search, search options can be configured to include item names, record labels, record values, or notes in the search.

App Settings or Preferences

The primary password can be updated. Changes will propagate to Cloakasium on all devices.

Manage lists gives you complete control of organizing your groups, categories, and items. Groups can be created, renamed, or deleted if a group has no categories. Categories can be created, renamed, moved to another group, or deleted if a category has no items. Items can be renamed. Multiple items can be selected to be moved to another category. All changes and edits are pending until the save button is pressed.

Custom strong passwords can be created using the password generator tool. The length of the password can be set. The default character set is lowercase letters. Optionally, uppercase letters, numbers, or symbols can be included in the generated password.

Clearing all data from Cloakasium requires the user to enable the reset app button, press the reset app button and finally confirm deletion. This action will delete all user data and reset the Cloakasium app back to its initial state.

Features

A secondary password can be created and updated. A secondary password may be useful for a trusted person to access Cloakasium in the case of a forgotten primary password or in the event of an emergency. Updates to either the primary and secondary password will propagate across all devices.

The Cloakasium app on Apple Watch will request a pin code for login. That pin code is created and managed on the Cloakasium settings for iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You can change the pin code, change its length, and set the maximum number of failed login attempts before Cloakasium will lockout on Apple Watch. The app lockout can be cleared with Cloakasium on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Encrypted backup files can be saved by the user to a folder on the device or to iCloud. Restoring from a backup file will overwrite app data contents. Backup files have a filename suffix of cdbak.

Cloakasium can export an unencrypted CSV file of its data contents. Cloakasium can import CSV-formatted password files exported from 1Password, BitWarden, LastPass, Keeper, or DataVault. The user can select to either overwrite or merge the imported data with the current app data contents. After import, use Manage Lists to organize your imported data.
